Timothy C. Flannery was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1957. As a result, Mr. Flannery enjoys dual citizenship as do his 3 sons. His wife, from Amherstburg Ontario, is Canadian. Currently, he is a member of the Law society of Upper Canada, and is a past two-term President of the Waterloo Lions Club. He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Kitchener- Waterlooo, and is on their training and Education Committee, where he in the past has headed the Governmental Issues Sub-Committee and has served as a member of the Jaycees in Michigan. He is a United Way Committee member in Windsor, Ontario, and the Knights of Columbus in Michigan. He has also served as Chair and Treasurer of the Board for Community Legal Services of Waterloo Region and continues to sit as a board member. He has been a Director on the Kitchener Rangers O.H.A. Major Junior A Hockey Club, and has acted as counsel for the team, as well as for the Waterloo Minor Hockey Association. He works with the Volunteer Action Centre, and the Kitchener-Waterloo Catholic Family Counseling Board. Timothy's specialization has been in the area of civil litigation including administrative law, where he has an extensive background in environmental law. He has also developed as expertise in the area of education law at the primary, secondary, and post-secondary level. He has represented a number of unions and businesses dealing with employment law and labour relations and has appeared before various Regional and Municipal committees.
